From Guide
First and most importantly is that strictly speaking, every person that edits a page is an administrator. You write, update and do general tidying up tasks for different parts of the guide. You already have many of the tools you need even without being an administrator and this should never change.
Administrators on the game guide are known as synops. Synops are just regular users, only difference is that they with just a few extra tools. Although much of the work has been done by regular users, synops are looked upon to do a few essential housekeeping chores.

Tools
Synops have these extra tools which regular users cannot access:
- The ability to protect & unprotect pages.
- The ability to delete files & pages in the game guide (& get them back too).
- The ability to block or suspend an I.P address (only in the extreme of extreme cases).
- The ability to quickly revert a page. (Normal users do have a similar ability too.)
Protecting Pages
Pages that are protected cannot be altered by regular users – only by a synop. Protecting pages is only required in certain rare circumstances and is never taken lightly.
Deleting
Images are usually deleted because they are out of date or a better picture has been uploaded. Page deletion rarely occurs and there will usually be a warning of some kind beforehand. They can also restore the deleted page too.
Blocking / Suspending
Synops can block IP addresses, IP ranges, and user accounts, for a specific time or indefinitely. They can also unblock them.
Other Administrators
Other than Synops, there are 5 other main types of administrators:
Bots
Users that are bots do not show up on the recent changes page when they make an edit.
Bureaucrats
They can change other users into synops (but not remove synop status). They can also change usernames, and assign & unassign bot accounts. Bureaucrats can create other bureaucrats. Actions by synops, bureaucrats & stewards can also be viewed separately.
Stewards
Stewards can alter the level of access of any user. They can also remove synop access and bureaucrats. Usually, they won't do things that the bureaucrats or synops do.
Checkusers
User with the checkuser permission can get a list of the IP addresses used by a username and also all the edits by users using a certain IP or IP range. A record of a checkuser can viewed by other checkusers.
Oversights
Oversights can hide edits/revisions of pages from all users. These can still be seen by oversights (for a while) and a log of oversight actions can viewed by other Oversights.
