Shield Generator

The Shield Generator protects your colony for 3 to 12 ticks once activated. The amount of time the shield lasts for depends on how many times you have charged it. While you have the shield on, all squads (not nukes) that arrive at your colony become frozen. This gives you some time to prepare an army to defend yourself or to delay the attack for reinforcements to arrive. You can also use it on other colonies of your alliance by clicking the colony and clicking the scans menu. They must have the shield generator built as well and the length of the shield is based on how much charge you have in your own shield.

Building an Shield Generator
The Shield Generator is the Level 5 Spy and Covert Ops structure. It takes 
Tick: 48, 
Metal: 5000 and 
Oil: 2500 to build.
Using the Shield Generator
Using the shield generator takes place in two steps. You can find these options clicking on your colony and then click the big " Eye ". This is the same as how you would increase your spy protection. The options for your shield is in there as well.
Charging
Cost per Charge : 50
& lasts 3 each
To charge your shield you must click on your colony and then click on the big " Eye " and then click "Charge Shield". Each time you charge your shield you will receive 3 ticks worth of protection. The limit for charging your shield is 4 times, or 12 ticks of protection.
Activating
There is no additional cost to activate your Energy Shield. All cost have been paid via charging.
To activate your Shield Generator, click on 'Activate Shield'. The shield will last for however long you've charged it for. Once your shield is activated it CANNOT be deactivated until the specified amount of charge has worn out. For example if you charge your shield for 6 ticks, then it will stay up for 6 ticks, no more and no less.
When to buy
You might wana try to buy it earlier in the round so you have it when war starts happening.
