Bonus Resources

There are several ways to get bonus resources. The main good way is to vote for us, it will gain you extra resources. You can also refer people to us for extra food. This is especially essential at the start of rounds as voting can inject a substantial amount into the amount of resources you have.

Joining/Making a Alliance

One of the most important things that a new player you should do is join a good alliance. In a good alliance, the members help each other be successful in the game by teaching strategy, protecting each other from attack, and supporting each other with metal and oil when needed.

Choosing a good alliance is not always easy, but there are some good indicaters on which alliances might be good for a new player:

1. The leader and most of the alliance should not be conquered. This often, but not always, indicates that the leader is either not a strong military strategist and/or not an effective diplomat.

2. The leader of the alliance should be able to communicate with you. This may seem obvious, but it is amazing how many people can not communicate effectively with the people in their own alliance.

Note: if you join the NEWB alliance, the experienced players in the game will know 3 things about you: You are new to the game, weak, and do not have anybody watching your back. That makes you a target. (Sorry Admin, but we all know it.)

When should I build an army?

Well it really matters, most likely you will get conquered at first. If you just started you should spend your resources on the food buildings so you will grow faster. Then you might want to start building a army when your slightly bigger. Hopefully you will have a friend that will defend your colony at the beginning.

Who should I ask for help?

If you join a good alliance, there are probably several people in the alliance who can help you. If you become conquered before you join an alliance, ask the person who conquered you to help you learn how to play.

Making Alliances In the First Ticks

Lots of alliances trouble in the early stage. here are some tips on helping your alliance thrive.

1. When you're making your colony, don't make it near strong alliances. This can help out in the long run, but most likely, they will conquer you.

2. Q: My alliance is getting attacked, what do I do? A: Your best shot is to ask them to be allies. I know this may seem weak, but sometimes if they are too strong, this is the only way. Another thing to do is to get some allies to help you. If you get some allies to attack the attacker, he may bring his squads back. Another way is to buy a support package if you have money. The last thing you should do(I repeat, only as a last resort) is to join their alliance. If there is no way to win, ask them if you could join theirs. After you build up your army, quit, take out all of them you can, and relocate. (This is known as backstabbing and is frowned upon in BD, if you backstab people then others will more than likely not trust you anymore, meaning if they do let you join their alliance, they're probably doing it with the intention of backstabbing you)

3. Only attack no alliance members first. If they are all gone, you can attack some alliance members, but make sure its not a big alliance, but be cautious, sometimes they may have allies.

4. Got Crystals, or Relics? Great, but don't be dancing yet. The best thing to do now is to build your army. Trust me, you will need all your units. Also, make sure you have supportive alliance members willing to send you units if you're getting attacked. Just wait it out with your army, the attacks should slow down after a few days.

5. What comes first, squads, or construction?

This depends on how you want to play - many allow themselves to be conquered early on, then spend time building all constructions, others prefer to go straight for military - a good middle ground is getting metal and food structures to level 4, oil and energy to level 3, and your military structures high enough to build whatever army you desire (it's advisable not to just build armour infantry)
