Howdy!
I go by several names in BD, but the most common is Nevyn of Scottsdale.
I have been playing since about tick 20-something of the very first public round (known as the 'open alpha'), sometime in late 2006 (i think!).
I have played with a lot of awesome players, in a lot of wonderful alliances, and i now devote at least 2 servers of my time to teaching new players some of the skills i have picked up over the years.
I'm Australian (and proud of it), male, in my late 20's, and totally addicted to this game!
In case you're an old friend (or old adversary, sometimes they are the one and the same), these are some of the names i have gone by over the years:

Open Alpha: Nevyn of Scottsdale, KMA alliance, Australia. Beta: Nevyn of Scottsdale, BBB alliance, Australia.
At that point, through the many donations received, a second server was opened up, and the 'Ages' as we know them began.
By server:
Earth 1, Age 1: Master Bates of hairy Palms, SS alliance, the Caribbean. Alliance finished #9, but we had a blast! Earth 1, Age 2: Grabthroat of Shinkicker, MpFc alliance, then BBS alliance, Svalbard. Alliance finished #13, but we held off 20+ alliances for over a week, and still made it back up the rankings! Earth 1, Age 3: I took a break from BD for a round due to personal commitments. Earth 1, Age 4: Nevyn of Scottsdale, [SK] alliance (South America), then LoM alliance (Madagascar). Alliance finished #1, personal rank #16 Earth 1, Age 5: Nevyn of Scottsdale, MsFt alliance (leader), Madagascar. The round isnt quite done yet, but we're ranked #2, and look fairly solid there. personal rank #27.
Earth 2, Age 1: Ivan Ardon of Deviantovitch, RR alliance, Russia. Alliance finished #1 Earth 2, Age 2: Nevyn of Der Leetmeister, EoR alliance, Svalbard. Alliance finished #5 Earth 2, Age 3: holiday, see E1A3. Earth 2, Age 4: Nevyn of Scottsdale, SoC alliance (leader for last half of round), Mexico. Alliance finished #16, not bad for 9 players, half of whom went inactive! Earth 2, Age 5: Nevyn of Scottsdale, NWB2 alliance (leader), South America. The round is still in progress, but i have dedicated this round to running the NEWB training alliance, to better teach gameplay to new players in a proper alliance instead of being left to fend for themselves and get clobbered by the big boys all teh time.
Earth 3, Age unknown: Ashen Shugar of Eagles Reaches, AZZ alliance, China. Account went inactive cos i was on holiday.
Earth 4, Age 5: Darth Nevyn of 2nd Sith Empire, SITH alliance (leader), central Africa. Round still in progress, i'm doing 1:1 new player training, as befits the Sith way...
Earth 5, Age Unknown: Nevyn of Scottsdale, TDU! alliance, Australia. Account went inactive cos i was on holiday.
Mars 2, Age 4: Vlad of Wallachia, IBK alliance. this round I went undercover to attempt to beat the GML alliance. The attempt failed. Mars 2, Age 7: One eyed Nev of The Barnacled Plank, ARRR alliance. The round is still in progress, we're playing as aa pirate-themed alliance, out for fun, rum and booty!
