Every colony and outpost in Battledawn will have a certain colour halo and most will also have a flag. Flags and the colour of the halo serve three main purpose:
- To distinguish status of alliance membership
- To distinguish conquered colonies
- To show members of allied and warring alliances

Meaning of Flags in Battledawn

Alliance Membership Status Flags (The top of the two rectangular flags)
- Orange: Shows the leader of an alliance.
- White: Shows normal members of an alliance.
- None: Shows colonies not part of an alliance.

Conquered Status (The bottom two rectangular flags)
- Yellow: Distinguishes a colony conquered by an alliance. If block solid yellow without any letters, the conquerer is not part of an alliance.
- None: Free colony.

Alliance Associations (Colored triangle only available if part of an alliance)
- Green: Shows that colony or outpost is a friend of your alliance.
- Red: Signifies that colony is at war or is hostile with your alliance.

Meaning of Halos in Battledawn
- Green: Shows that colony or outpost is a member of your alliance.
- Teal: Shows that colony or outpost is a member of an allied alliance.(not enforced)
- Red: Signifies that colony is at war or is hostile with your alliance.
- Yellow: Signifies that colony or outpost is neutral.
- Blue: Signifies a colony conquered by your alliance.
- Blue With Red Star: Signifies a colony you conquered by your colony.

Workers & Colony Sizes
As the number of workers in your colony increases, the image for your colony changes. The more workers you have, the bigger the colony.
