Overhead

From Guide

Overhead exists to balance out the game between veteran and beginner colonies. It also follows a realistic approach that eventually there will be more overhead required to recruit new units than the initial recruits, especially when your veteran units report to the new recruits the grueling details of war.==Unit Overhead Cost== As players increase their military size, the cost for recruiting and training new units increases. New housing quarters, advertising to bring in eager new recruits, and acquiring more transportation accounts for this additional cost.

The pricing tiers are:

  • 1-150 Soldiers = No Increase (standard pricing)
  • 151-300 Soldiers = 25% Pricing Increase
  • 300+ Soldiers = 50% Pricing Increase

Note: "Soldiers" symbolize the number of workers, which have been trained as soldiers, each unit requires. The unit type, "Infantry", which formerly displayed in Battle Reports as "Soldiers", only requires 1 soldier. Vehicles require 2 soldiers (driver + gunnery). Tanks require 3 soldiers (driver, gunnery, lookout). Thus, 150 soldiers may be 150 "Soldiers", 75 "Vehicles" or 50 "Tanks" (or a mix of each). KIA units are accounted for until the owner clears them from the roster.
