Taxation, Tribute & Rebellion
From Guide
Taxation, Tribute & Rebellion are all part of the conquering part of Battledawn.
Whenever you are conquered by someone, you have to pay taxation every tick to your conqueror as well as losing any crystals you have owned. Don't think it's the end of the world if you've been conquered - many players: good and bad, new and old; have been conquered by someone before.

Benefits Of Being Conquered
The main benefit of being conquered is that you can not be conquered by anyone else. This means that:
- You can build up your tech tree in peace.
- Save up on resources since you don’t have to build an army yet.
- There is no need for anyone to attack because you’re already conquered.
Taxation / Tribute
When a colony is conquered, it has to pay tribute or tax (10%) to its conqueror on each resource (except energy) every tick. This is known as tribute when in the eyes of the conquered colony and tax in the eyes of the conquerer. The rate of tax or tribute is set unless production changes. Here is an example:
If 10% equates to a fraction, the amount is rounded up to the nearest whole number even if it's 0.001. For example:
To cease having to pay tribute to an enemy colony, it is required that you rebel after
72 Ticks (hours) of being conquered.
Rebellion
Rebellion is how many players free themselves from being conquered. To rebel, do the following:
If your conqueror (or their alliance) successfully defeats your colony forces during your rebellion, your rebellion will stop and you will have to wait another
72 ticks(hours) before attempting a second rebellion.
If your conquerer is on vacation, you can have a rebellion in peace . (^_^)
Important
During the
24 ticks of your rebellion you will not receive ANY resources apart from
Food. So, you will not receive
Metal,
Oil, or
Energy but you will receive your normal amount of
Food, as seen in this picture:
